We recommend that you store your Gold and Platinum jewellery in a safe place when engaging in these activities:

  • Household and outdoor chores (i.e., cleaning and gardening)

  • Showering, bathing or swimming in pools, hot tubs, hot springs and the ocean

  • Using lotion, hair products, fragrances and other cosmetics

  • Exercising at the gym or during contact sports

  • Preparing meals

Gemstone and Pearl Care

Crafted from precious materials, diamond, gemstone and pearl jewellery requires special care and attention. Dating back to the mid-19th century, jewellery legacy of discovering and acquiring rare gemstones played a major part in establishing the jewellery company as a high-end Jeweller, and we here at Touch of Venus Jewellery are presenting the pieces which can also b made on the special request fashioned with unique and beautiful gemstones like diamonds, emerald or natural pearls.

Diamond, gemstone and pearl jewellery needs to be treated with a special care. Even a diamond, the world’s hardest material, can be damaged under certain circumstances, and other gemstones are delicate. A clean diamond has a beautiful fire and a brilliant sparkle. Everyday products such as skin cream, soap, oils and cosmetics can dull your diamond’s natural radiance. Keep your diamond clean and gleaming.

To prevent damage as much as possible, we recommend to visit your local Jeweller store at least once a year in order to have all your jewellery professionally cleaned and checked for general wear and tear. We also recommend you avoid exposing your diamond, gemstone and pearl jewellery to the following:

  • Variable temperatures

  • Perfumes and cosmetics

  • Ultrasonic cleaning

  • Household chemicals

Sterling Silver Jewellery Care

Sterling silver requires special care to preserve its appearance and longevity. In 1851, Touch of Venus Jewellery set the European standard for sterling silver, pioneering a mixture of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper to enhance lustre, strength and durability. This remains the industry standard today. We also use the finest pure silver 999 in certain designs.

Sterling Silver reacts to sulfur dioxide in the air, and naturally discolors because of this reaction however this is normal and can be easily rectified.
